Prime Minister Janez Janša attends the Coalition of the Willing Summit

SLOVENIA, August 24 - It was held in a hybrid format. Attending in person in Kyiv were the host, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of the European Council António Costa, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, President of Moldova Maia Sandu, Prime Minister of Luxembourg Luc Frieden, President of Finland Alexander Stubb, Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, while the remaining leaders from the coalition's more than 30 member countries participated remotely.

 Among those participating via video link were Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša, Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Šekerinska, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs of North Macedonia Bekim Sali, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas and Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yýlmaz.

The participating leaders concluded the summit with a clear commitment to continue coordinating long-term security guarantees, including through the Multinational Force-Ukraine, and to comprehensively strengthen Ukraine's logistical and defence capabilities. The leaders agreed that the supply of key defence systems and the stabilisation of the energy grid must continue without disruption, thereby strengthening Ukraine's resilience ahead of the coming winter.
